From a stool in Tucumán

My path as a designer

I started learning web design at a desk barely bigger than my Toshiba laptop, sitting on a stool, headphones on, Dreamweaver open, watching tutorials. That desk was my whole studio. In the afternoons I went to the INI, the National Institute of Technology in San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina. At night I came back to try out what I had learned.

Bogotá, and the burnout

Later, in Bogotá, I worked for several startups and, as the saying goes, I grew, I learned a ton, and I burned out.

Back in Cali

I went back to Cali, my hometown, and became an independent designer. I learned far more about my craft than I thought was possible. UX and interfaces had started to mature in me.

An agency, and a new life

Then I went back to an agency, I fell in love with Juliana, my life changed, and I saw that I needed to prove the experience I had piled up in a new role. Before I got it I had several clients in the US. That opened doors and showed me that I could take on all my responsibilities in English without any problem.

California

Then Stanbridge, in California, decided to give me a chance.

That is where the story could end.
